Portable - Inspired by the GB

A schematic for a portable revolution. Screen, D-pad, A and B, Start and Select, speaker grille — laid out like a parts diagram from the Japanese R&D handbook nobody outside Kyoto ever saw. Everything that made the world's most successful handheld work, deconstructed into the quiet geometry of good industrial design.

Released in 1989 with a four-shade green screen and a chassis built like a brick, it sold a hundred and eighteen million units and beat more powerful, prettier, full-colour competition because Gunpei Yokoi understood something the others didn't: portability beats specs, every time. This shirt is a love letter to that idea.

Printed on a Bella+Canvas unisex jersey tee in natural cream. Combed cotton, retail fit, roughly the colour your original GB turned after one too many summers in the back of the car. For loyalists, design-history obsessives, and anyone who still hears the Tetris theme in their dreams.
